Picture it, it was May of 2007, our very first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience and, yes, I am channeling my inner Sophia voice from the Golden Girls. We are anxiously awaiting our appointment for this super duper girly experience for our 4 year old. No doubt, she will love it and we will remember it for a lifetime. We walk inside and the buzz and excitement are growing by the minute. This has got to be the stuff every little girl’s dreams are made up of, right?!

We were guided by our Fairy Godmother in Training to the chair where our daughter would be magically transformed into a princess. She was offered choices of beautiful princess looks to choose from. My daughter, true to her spunky self, chose to be a Disney Diva!

Once the transformation began, her Fairy Godmother in Training gently combed and brushed her hair and talked to her oh so sweetly. Right before my eyes, in one of the most exciting moment's of her life, my little princess fell asleep in the arms of her Fairy Godmother in Training. We had been making every moment count on this Disney vacation and taking a nap was not high on her priority list to this point. She was so tired and as she sat in her salon chair, her sweet Fairy Godmother in Training gently held her head while applying her glittery makeup. I had her being Cinderella staying up till midnight to take in the whole event but turned out it was more of a "Sleeping Beauty sleeping through most of the experience" kind of day for her.

Are you thinking about taking your kiddo to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

Keep reading because I have some awesome information for you to keep in mind, consider and use for your experience to BBB!

EXPECTATIONS:

First, let me remind you that Walt Disney World can be a magically exhausting experience for your littles. Did I expect my daughter to use this visit as her nap time? The answer is no. Was I worried for a split second that I had spent all this money for a memory she would never remember? Yes, for a moment, yes! However, if I am honest that little nap became one of my favorite parts of the experience. Go to WDW with a plan, but when you get there don’t be so rigid that you can’t go with the flow of what is working for your family. We didn’t try to wake our daughter. We simply let her awaken to her princess transformation and that was magical too.

Also, BBB has package options for your charming prince too! He can have a sleek hairdo, sword, shield, confetti and with some packages a princely costume. Every princess needs a charming prince so by all means get those boys in the experience too. Below are a list of those options. Make sure to check links below for current and up to date packages and pricing! Magic Kingdom | Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa | Disney Springs

TIPS and Things to Consider:

  1. Book early! You can make these reservations 180 days before your trip. I recommend do it as soon as you can or have your travel agent set this up for you. You will not be charged for the booking up front. They will need a credit card to hold the reservation. If you do not show for the appointment they will charge that card a $10 fee. Your package choices will determine what you pay at the time of your appointment.

  2. Be FLEXIBLE! These reservations can fill up fast. If you go into it without having several scenarios in mind that you would be happy with, you may end up frustrated. There’s no need for that because all locations will provide an amazing experience. Beautiful memories will happen!

  3. Get Rested! Get those littles the appropriate amount of rest before going to their BBB appointment. If it is an early morning appointment then make sure that the night before isn’t a late night at the parks.

  4. Wash and Comb Hair! Make sure they are clean and hair washed and combed out. It’s never fun having a Fair Godmother in Training to have to pull tangles out of your hair. This is definitely not the “Tangled” kind of experience you want! If you’ll be riding rides before your appointment, braids are a great way to keep your daughter’s hair free of tangles.

  5. Bring Costumes! If you want your kiddo to have a princess dress but the package that includes it is too expensive, bring your own! My daughter wanted a specific Little Mermaid costume and we brought it with us to the appointment.

  6. Bring a Change of Clothing! She may wear a princess dress all day, but she may also want something more comfortable after a while! Let her go princess casual! I promise it’s a thing. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique even sells a package that includes a BBB t-shirt. This is a fantastic option for the more everyday princess fashionistas.

  7. Choose a Location! Before you book your BBB experience, do some research on which location will work best for your trip. WDW offers 3 locations for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom & Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

KEEP IN MIND

  1. Remember that if you book your BBB experience in the Magic Kingdom you must have ticket access to the park. If you want the experience to stand on it’s own without using a park day, simply schedule your visit to the BBB at Disney Springs or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

  2. Want to schedule a dining experience to go along with your BBB appointment? Think about locations and timing. Cinderella’s Royal Round Table is great if doing the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom.

  3. Keep in mind CRT is 2 dining credits if you are on the Dining Plan.

  4. If you want to pair your BBB experience with 1900 Park Fare character dining then schedule your BBB appointment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This will save you a dining credit as it only counts as one credit on your plan. 1900 Park Fare will have Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the Ugly Stepsisters at the Happily Ever After Dinner or you can enjoy the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with Winnie the Pooh, Alice, The Mad Hatter and Tigger. I have done both dinner and breakfast character dining experiences and loved both. The Ugly Stepsisters and The Mad Hatter are highlights from our experiences.

  5. If you have Memory Maker, you will be able to access pictures from this event or if not… you can purchase photo packages from this experience.

Paying for the Experience:

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers many packages and items to buy to round out an amazing time of pampering for your littles. Do some research and plan accordingly for the expenses. Disney specializes in memories that last a lifetime. Be prepared for the ones you want your kiddos to experience.

Bibbidi Bobbidi is an amazing experience that is sure to be a cherished memory for you and your kids. We loved our experience and would recommend it to anyone with kids ages 3-12/
